Joan, who knew all five kids pretty well, had this to say about June: "All five kids think that their mom liked them best" A big complement I'd say! She had an inferiority complex a mile long but put it aside when she went in the world. She was the ultimate baby lady; running the Church nursery (she had a baby die there one Sunday morning); doing regular day care (especially for church staff); on Mataro St. most kids came to her first before they went home with an injury; but probably the greatest thing is that even today, all of our friends comment on how great she was!
